If pleasure had a body

Work was inspired by exploration of autonomy, vulnerability, and empowerment. Nadia Magda begins to delve into the complexity of how pleasure, control and social expectations, shape relationships with the body.

Through intimate portraits and experimental visuals, the project encourages consideration of the intersections of beauty, pleasure and the power of striving, subtly introducing the concept of shaping and idealizing one’s own body as an expression of rebellion.

The theme would later evolve to become a central narrative element in the ongoing Sirens project, where Nadia Magda reimagines the mythological figure of the siren as a symbol of female sensuality, fascination, transformation and steadfastness of purpose.
